A narrative poem in which the author helps a friend in need of good meat.
Willie Mitchell's friend in Fife is suffering for lack of good meat, so his friend's wife travels from Fife to Kintyre, where Willie provides her with "guid Scotch meat". She returns, and after preparing the meat for her man, all is well.
