Summary
This is a waulking song with a love theme. In it a man addresses the beautiful brown-haired girl he loves. He is afraid she has been taken from him. He has heard she is in England or Ireland, but is also afraid that she has gone overseas. The final couplets praise her appearance, and her ability at various tasks. The bard would lie with her in the heather, with little to cover them.
