Gille Padara Dubh was married with a son. Clanranald wanted to test his skill with a bow and arrow. He put apple on the son's head to see if he could hit it. Gille Padara Dubh drew two arrows and put the first one through apple. Clanranald congratulated him and asked what the second arrow was for. If he'd injured his son, the second arrow was for Clanranald
