Summary
This is the ceòl mòr 'Tog Orm Mo Phìob 's Thèid Mi Dhachaigh' [MacLeod of MacLeod's Lament] played on the Highland bagpipe.
After playing, Calum Johnston relates how the tune was composed. On hearing of the death of Rory Mòr MacLeod, MacCrimmon was broken-hearted and composed the tune to the words, 'Tog orm mo phìob 's thèid mi dhachaigh'.
Item Notes
Calum Johnston would have been 77 years of age when this was recorded. He omits the taorluath doubling and crunluath singling.
