Summary
Some historical information.
The contributor was born in 1887 in the same house as he is in now [1973]. It was a white house; one of the first ones. His father married in 1884 and built the house. A bottle of whisky cost ten pennies at the time. There were also blackhouses in Drumfearn. The fire was in the middle of the floor, but some had hanging chimneys. There was a fiddler called Gilleasbaig Kennedy who taught dancing in his house. Camuscross got its name after a priest arrived and erected a cross at the bay.
