Summary

An anecdote about a woman who recovered from illness soon after having a dram.

A mother and daughter were living alone. Their house was a great cèilidh place. The mother took ill and people stopped coming. When she got better, they came back. They brought a bottle of whisky and gave the daughter the first dram, and then one to give to her mother, which she refused to do. The mother called from the bedroom. She was given the dram, and recovered soon after.
