Summary
A tale of a son who was lost and then appeared many years later.
The contributor tells the tale of the woman who went out to collect fuel and left her only child, a son, in the house, alone. When she returned he was gone. She looked for him high and low but failed to find him. She vowed that until her son returned she would never invite another to her house or invite anyone to sit down. Many years later a stranger came to the village and overheard a conversation in the inn regarding the old woman and her vow. The stranger made a wager with them that she would invite him to sit down. The stranger managed to trick the old woman into asking him to sit down and then he revealed that he was her long lost son.
