Summary
Four brothers were lost on the same fishing boat.
Fishermen would turn out at one o'clock in the morning to go to sea and might row from Trondra to the other side of Foula. On one occasion, a Fullarton man couldn't go with his crew, so a young Leask boy joined his three brothers in the boat; they were never seen again. Their boat was thought to have been sunk by a piece of wreckage. The Fullarton man was an ancestor of the great boat builder Walter Duncan.
