Summary
In this mildly bawdy seduction song, a miller tries to win the affection of a maid as she passes by his mill. His perseverance eventually pays off, and she agrees to be his sweetheart.
Learned from the singing of Lucy Stewart, who would provide rhythmic accompaniment by banging on the table to simulate the turning of the miller's wheel.
