Performing for English festival audiences.
National festivals like the one at Loughborough generally include a token Scottish presence, and Ray Fisher and Willie Scott are a good combination to fill this role. Ray doesn't alter her programme for English audiences, but offers more interpretation of the songs. Scottish audiences are responsive to new songs that Ray introduces from England. Festivals feed traditional material into the repertoires of young groups who use electric instruments. English performers don't represent competition to Ray, but within Scotland there is a danger of repertoires overlapping.
