Summary

Craoicill was a man from Ushinish, behind Ben More in South Uist. He had been in a township and was going home with his wife, who was carrying half a boll of meal. He soon had to carry a bullock which had been stuck in a bog, and when his wife became tired, he was forced to carry her and the meal as well. By the time he reached the back of Ben More, the wind was strong and he was then forced to carry a boat. When the bard Gille na Ciotaig heard about this, he composed a comic song about Craoicill.
