Summary
Invading Norsemen fought off in Banffshire.
The first Norsemen in the North-East of Scotland landed at Gamrie [Gardenstown]. The men fled, but the women got the Norsemen drunk, then put stones in their stockings and finished them off. Nevertheless, the Norsemen appear to have left some of their seed. Their skeletons are found from time to time between Gamrie and Macduff, and they never lack any of their teeth. They were great big fellows.
