Summary
In this waulking song a girl is addressed and asked to see if the moon is shining, and what the state of the weather is. Concern is shown for the boat at sea. The song then changes theme to relate that she had buried five of her children: Una, Sheila, Marion, Anna and fair-haired Murdo. Ranald is then addressed and she asks him to keep the customs of his grandfather and to build his big house at the end of the road, where the nobles will gather.
