Summary
MacPhee's black dog saves its master.
MacPhee had a black dog. It was no good, but whenever he was asked why he kept it, he always said, "The black dog's day will come yet." There was a cave called Uamh nan Gruagach in which no one who slept survived the night. MacPhee and the black dog were in the cave. A hand came from the roof of the cave to catch him and the black dog grabbed it.
