Summary
This is the ceòl mòr 'Thug mi Pòg do Làmh an Rìgh' [I Got a Kiss of the King's Hand] played on the Highland bagpipe.
In his introduction, Pipe Major William MacLean relates a story from the Wardlow Manuscript about how Patrick Mòr MacCrimmon won a piping competition organised at the request of King Charles II at Stirling. On being presented to the King, he kissed his hand three times and then extemporised the tune on the spot.
