Summary

Information about a house in Bruist struck by fever.

Alasdair Munro's family in Bruist were struck down with fever. It began in the 1870s and took nine lives. Catriona Paterson's uncle brought them food. He shared a pipe with one of them, but didn't get the fever. Alasdair's mother-in-law went to help them, but she was the first to die. The coffins were tarred and taken out through the window with ropes. There is discussion about how much Alasdair's wife suffered and mention of the man who made the coffins.
