How the Uist people helped the old woman at harvest time.
An old woman in North Uist was harvesting as best she might, out with the scythe in her petticoat, and when she went home she fell asleep in her chair from exhaustion. Waking about five o'clock in the morning, she found all her corn had been cut and stooked by the people of Balmartin.
