An old crabbit [ill-tempered] spinster lived alone with her black tom cat. People thought she was a witch. She sold her soul to the Devil in return for three wishes. She wished to be turned into a beautiful young woman, she wished to live in a beautiful castle, and she wished her cat to be turned into a handsome young man. Her wishes were granted. On the first night she was in bed with the handsome young man he reminded her that she had taken him to the vet years ago.
