Summary
A love song which relates an incident when her beloved was press-ganged into the army. She watched while he took the money from them and drank from the bottles. She wishes she could have been by his side to swap the strong drink with brine or drinking water. She fears he has joined the army in the fort and when they are dressed in their red-coats that he will be in the vanguard of the army.
