Summary
A crofter complained to MacDonald of Clanranald that the deer were causing him great loss.
It was snowing and the deer kept coming to eat a South Uist crofter's corn in the yard. He complained to MacDonald of Clanranald who told him to pen them. The crofter put a trail of corn on the ground leading to his barn and closed in several deer.
