Item Notes
2 lines. The first line is from a music-hall song known as 'Jean, Jean'. The second line is from 'The Flowers of Edinburgh' (Roud Folk Song Index no. 6248) - whether from the traditional version or the rewrite by G. S. Morris (1876-1958) is not clear. This is not to be confused with another song by the title 'The Flowers of Edinburgh' (Roud 8480).
For 'The Flowers of Edinburgh' (Roud 6248), see:
Greig-Duncan vol. 4, pp. 242-244, no. 830
