Summary
Pastoral love song by Burns, inviting his sweetheart to enjoy the beauties of nature with him.
Jock Cameron heard the song from his grandmother, who was from the west side of Fife. He never heard anyone else sing it. Only once in 30 years did one man recognise it, a man working on the bogeys in Lady Victoria pit; he had heard the song from his own mother or grandmother (but couldn't sing it).
