Summary
In this comic song, a woman laments not having found a husband. Her sister was married at sixteen, while she is now forty-four and has never even had a suitor. She lists the skills she could offer a husband, and bids any man at all to rescue her out of pity. She says that if she can't get a man, she'll get a parrot instead.
