Summary

Phrases in cant, with a partial English translation:

"... bing tae the keir - the barrie hantles in the keir, and you'll bing barrie habben in the ken ... and dae a wee bit brookerin in the kens."

The contributor explains that 'barrie hantles in the keir' are gentlemen in their 'big house' in summertime, who would be cooking the grouse from their hunt; Travellers could sometimes go to the back door of the kitchen and get food from the cook. They might also do some selling (hawking) door to door.
